By downloading, installing, or using Vamio ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Vamio. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate.
You sign in using Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Notify us immediately at support@vamio.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account. Account deletion initiates removal of your profile, messages, location history, and associated data from our servers, typically within 30 days. See our Privacy Policy for details on data retention and deletion timelines.
Vamio lets you coordinate group road trips ("drives") in real time. You create a drive, share an invite code with friends, and everyone's live location appears on a shared map during the drive. Drives also include group chat for participants.
Vamio's core feature requires access to your device's location, including background location. By joining a drive, you consent to sharing your real-time location with other participants in that drive. Location sharing begins when you join a drive and stops when the drive ends or you leave it. You can pause location sharing at any time during a drive.
Background location allows the App to continue sharing your position when it is not in the foreground — for example, while you use a navigation app during the drive. See our Background Location page for details.
You agree not to:
You retain ownership of content you create in the App, including chat messages and photos shared in drives. By posting content, you grant Vamio a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and transmit that content to other drive participants as part of the service.
You are solely responsible for the content you share. We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law. You can report objectionable messages and block users within the App.

We reserve the right to investigate reports, remove content, and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
The App, including its design, code, graphics, and branding, is owned by Vamio and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or other brand elements. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our written permission.
We may suspend or terminate your access to Vamio at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to other users or our systems. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.
Vamio is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
Vamio is not a navigation app. Do not rely on it for driving directions. Always use a dedicated navigation app and follow traffic laws. We are not responsible for any incidents that occur during drives coordinated through the App.
Location accuracy depends on your device and network conditions. We do not guarantee the precision or availability of location data.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vamio and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, personal injury, or property damage.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the App (which is currently zero, as Vamio is free).
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Vamio operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
