Getting Started
What is Vamio?

Vamio is a group driving app that lets you create a drive, invite friends or family, and see everyone's real-time location on a shared map. It also includes in-drive chat, SOS alerts, and drive summaries.

How do I create a drive?

Open the app, tap the "+" button, and enter a name for your drive. You'll get a shareable invite code and link that you can send to anyone you want to join.

How do others join my drive?

Share the invite link or code. They can join by tapping the link (which opens the app) or by entering the code manually in the "Join Drive" screen.

During a Drive
Can I chat during a drive?

Yes. Every drive has a built-in group chat. You can send messages, pin important updates, and react to messages — all without leaving the drive view.

What happens if I lose signal?

Your last known location will remain visible to others. Once you regain connectivity, your position updates automatically. Chat messages sent while offline will be delivered when you reconnect.

What is the SOS feature?

If you have a flat tire, breakdown, or any emergency, tap the SOS button. Every participant in the drive gets an instant alert with your exact location so they can come help or call for assistance.

How does live location sharing work?

While you're in an active drive, Vamio shares your location with the group in real time. Location sharing stops automatically when the drive ends. Your location is never shared outside the drive.

Pricing & Premium
Is Vamio free?

Yes. Vamio is completely free to use. All core features — live location, group chat, SOS alerts, and drive summaries — are available to everyone at no cost.

Will Vamio always be free?

The core experience will always be free. In the future, we may introduce an optional Vamio Premium tier with extra features for power users.

Privacy & Safety
Who can see my location?

Only the people in your current active drive. Your location is never shared publicly, sold to third parties, or visible outside of a drive session. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Can I block another user?

Yes. You can block any user from their profile. Blocked users won't be able to see your profile or interact with you in drives.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account in the app. For detailed instructions, see our Account Deletion page.

Troubleshooting
My location isn't updating for others

Make sure location permissions are set to "Always" or "While Using App" in your phone's settings. Also check that battery optimization isn't restricting Vamio in the background.

I can't join a drive with an invite link

Ensure you have the latest version of Vamio installed. If the link doesn't open the app, try copying the invite code and entering it manually in the "Join Drive" screen.
